City Council

Print

The City council represents and serves our community as responsible stewards of the public trust. We envision and shape our future by engaging citizen involvement and fostering City staff innovation.

Pittsburg has a Council/City Manager form of Government. The City Council is composed of a Mayor and five members elected at-large for three-year terms. They are the policy-making body of the City's government and set and adopt the annual budget for the City.

Regular Pittsburg City Council meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 200 Rusk Street. Special meetings are held when needed. Agendas are posted on the front window of City Hall and on this web site on the Friday preceding each meeting.
