Planning and Zoning
All zoning board meetings are open to the public and notice of meetings are posted on the bulletin board at Pittsburg City Hall 72 hours prior to meeting date. PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall in the City Council Chambers, if there is business before the Commission. The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of five regular members and two alternate members. They must live within the city limits of Pittsburg, and are appointed by the City Council to serve a term of two years. The Commission reviews all requests for zoning changes and subdivision plats, and when requested by the City Council, the Commission reviews zoning problems within the City and reviews other problems concerning the growth, expansion, and land usage within the City, and makes recommendations to the City Council for their action. A completed zoning change application, with all required information (including a certified plat, site plan and a complete description of the property) along with appropriate application fees paid, and other information as requested, must be submitted to City Hall before the first Friday of the month zoning request(s) will be heard. Applications are available at Pittsburg City Hall. The Board may: The Board of Adjustments meets at 10:00 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at City Hall in the Council Chambers. Application deadline is seventeen business days prior to the meeting date. Board Members: The City of Pittsburg reserves the right to amend the annexation plan in accordance with the provisions of the Texas Local Government Code and other applicable law. | |||
